I'm NatKasparian, a self-taught illustrator based in Toronto. My illustrations are a reflection of my unique perspective, blending abstract and contemporary styles to create powerful and emotive depictions of personalities and characters.
Through my work, I explore the complexities of the human experience, often depicting distorted faces and figures that exude feelings of anxiety, calm, self-confidence, and deep thought.
I use a free-form approach to my art, starting with loose sketches that allow me to explore new styles and express my true feelings. I then refine my ideas on marker paper, using a combination of markers and paint to bring my illustrations to life.
Art has been a constant companion throughout my life, providing an escape from the stresses and struggles of everyday life. As a Third Culture Kid, having grown up in Kuwait, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia before moving to Canada, my art is a reflection of my diverse experiences and perspectives. I strive to create work that is relatable to anyone.
